Platform games are a very basic type of genre of level based
terrain to play on. Every different platform game is special ad different in
every way because of the type of terrain/ground it is played on, different
characters from the voice, clothing and personality of the character
Platform games are very simple but the detail of the levels
brings out humour and story of the game its self
The main platform games known and that are famous which are:
Mario from original to the new Super Mario World
Donkey Kong
Metroid
Even today new
platform games are being created but with new tech to bring a better experience
and more test of skill and understanding to the levels, The game that is most
modern and that has done this is Little Big Plant which consists of a character
who is called the ‘Sack Boy’ the main story behind the game is really complete
it. But this modern platform is different to the originals because you are able
to interact with your character and change him.
Original platform games are very basic because of tech that
was available in the time but with being in this time if they had more
technology would the game be more known or not?
Mario- Mario is a platform game that consists of a little
Italian man running across pipes and blocks to reach the end and grab the flag.
There have been multiple Mario games that has been platform based from basic
from Super Mario Bros to Super Mario World from these games there has been
change to the music, worlds, enemies and character based power ups that bring
different feel to each level of the gaming platform 
This is the newer Super Mario Bros logo which has improved from the last one.
These are 2 different years of the same game which show how platform games have evolved since they was created in this case the'Super Mario bros'was created in 1985 and the 'New super Mario bros.'was created in 2006 which is a big jump between the two and shows how much development has gone through platform games in this amount of time
